SALMON CAMP 2026 — NEW UPDATES

Come experience a one-of-a-kind “stay-with-me, fish-for-free” salmon camp at Hammond Marina, Oregon — right at the mouth of the Columbia River during the legendary Buoy 10 salmon season, the “Super Bowl” of salmon fishing.
This is a simple cost-sharing camp setup for like-minded anglers who want an affordable way to experience world-class salmon fishing without the hassle of towing boats, securing campsites, or figuring out the fishery alone.

The camp contribution is $300 per full day at camp — not per person. That cost can be split between 2 anglers. I’m limiting camp to just 2 guests because fishing is done from my smaller Stabicraft, and from experience, 3 people total (plus my dog… or your dog too) is the perfect load for comfort, space, and fishing efficiency.
This is NOT a guided trip or outfitted charter. We’re simply a group of passionate anglers sharing camp, expenses, and the pursuit of daily salmon limits at one of the best fisheries in the West.

FISHING LICENSE INFO
All anglers need an Oregon fishing license and endorsements before fishing.
Purchase online through Oregon Fish & Wildlife (they also have a great mobile app).
Required: • One-Day or Season Angling License — One day is $29 Includes combined angling report card. Buy multiple days up to 7 days before the Season permit becomes better value.
Additional Endorsements:• Ocean Endorsement — $9/year Needed for rockfish fishing. Highly recommended since combo salmon + rockfish days are often possible.
Columbia River Endorsement — $11.75/year Needed to fish the Columbia River directly outside camp.
Example Permit Costs:
• 2-Day Setup: $78.75
• 3-Day Setup: $107.75
• 7-Day Setup: $223.75
• Full Non-Resident Season License: $245.75 (After 7 days, the season pass becomes the better value.)

WHAT’S NEW FOR 2026
Outstanding Salmon Forecast: The Columbia mouth forecast looks excellent — slightly better than last season. With lower snowpack and warmer river temperatures expected, salmon should hold outside Hammond longer before pushing upriver.

The ocean bite is projected to be lights-out again, with classic limit-style fishing expected.
Strong Coho Numbers: Coho fishing is expected to remain exceptional, with regulations holding at: • 2 hatchery Coho per day: Crab + Salmon + Rockfish Combo Days. We’ll also try combo whenever conditions allow. Fresh Dungeness crab, with rockfish tacos, and fresh salmon dinners back at camp are hard to beat!
Upgraded Camp Setup: I’ve secured a slip for my boat at Hammond Marina for 2026, which makes everything easier and more comfortable.
• Boat stays in the water
• Camp is steps from the marina
• Upgraded wall-tent cabin setup
• Serious fishing meets comfortable glamping
*Wake up. Fish hard. Relax at camp. Repeat.
